Do not worry if you have built your castles in the air.

The full quote is, ”Do not worry if you have built your castles in the air. They are where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.” Henry David Thoreau

Pretty applicable to the writing process, don’t you think?

For this week’s prompt, I wanted to keep it pretty simple as I imagine you all out there and festing it up at Thin Air – the Winnipeg International Writers Festival!

So let’s steal from their name and think of “AIR!” It is pretty important after all, it keeps us alive with breath, it is all around us. A good metaphor for what we feel is neccessary in our lives, the poets have long associated LOVE with AIR. So what do you think of air? Hot air? Thin Air? Life giving air?

Start there and see where you get.

And Happy Festing!!!
