The Writers' Collective

Our revamp and revival of Collective Consciousness is almost complete! Our team of writers, designers and artists has assembled the first issue of the new Collective Consciousness, and now we need your help to get it to the printers!

The new Collective Consciousness is a meeting of writing and visual art – a creative arts magazine that explores news voices and new ways of telling stories through the interplay of words and images. Collective Consciousness will feature a myriad of emerging writers and artists from across Canada and around the world and will highlight new voices from the creative communities in Manitoba.

Collective Consciousness is being transformed from a black-and-white journal to a full-colour, coffee-table style magazine. Right now, we need funds to do the following:

• Print the first issue of the magazine ($5,962 for 1000 copies)
• Hold an awesome launch party to reintroduce Collective Consciousness to readers and celebrate the first issue’s contributors ($3,000 for venue, food and drink)
• Mail the first issue to readers ($2,027 for postage)

We have launched a crowd-funding campaign to provide these funds. Your contribution of $10 or more will get you great perks – an invitation to the launch, the first issue (or four) of the magazine, or even a quarter-page ad! (You can also choose to receive a charitable tax receipt instead of a perk.)
