NEWS FROM THIN AIR:
1. This weekend’s USED BOOK SALE at The Forks Market is a treasure-seeker’s paradise. Books are cheap ($5 hardcover, $2 soft cover, plus lots of $1 bargain books) and the selection is amazing. Especially rich picking in literature, kids/teen, SF/fantasy, & GLBT. We’ll be there Saturday, Sunday, & Monday, 9:30 – 6:30. Cash, debit, credit. Please drop by! Find something perfect & support the festival at the same time!
2. Our programs are out! They’re really out–all over the city, in bookstores & cafes. They’re crammed with information, & (as always) they’re free. Schedule & writer information is also on our website, & in a week or so the program will also be available for download onto your e-reader. (We’re in the front of the pack!) We’re celebrating our 15th anniversary with another great line-up of writers & events. Start planning!
3. The Manitoba Reads contest has heated up a few more degrees! The four panellists & their final titles were revealed on the Weekend Morning Show this past Saturday, & the web has been burning up ever since. Curious? Check our website for details. The final debate takes place on Saturday, September 24 at the last Mainstage event at THIN AIR 2011. Get your passes now to be sure of a seat!
