Alfred, Lord Tennyson was from merry ol’ England (but of course) and was a popular Victorian age poet. for a complete biography and listing of his work, check out online-literature.com’s spread – here!!!

my favourite Tennyson is the Idylls of the King – a collection of poems about the Arthurian legend. i even have a very old, very musty copy of Idylls that i rescued from a book store many years ago (can you say GEEK!??!!). and of course, if i had to pick a favourite among them, i would have to go with the magician/ wizard / druid / priest (depending on your source of course) and his love: Merlin and Vivienne.

now, this is a long poem people, the language is languid and the dialogue is longwinded and lovely… so, i suggest you go pop some popcorn first, give yourself a good chunk of time, and then click here!! and enjoy!!
