Creative Writing Prompt for the week of April 25th

Ok this one can be tricky – take a deep breath – let’s try Random Object Stories.

What you have to do is look around your room or space or cubicle right now and pick three things. 3! Just because it’s a good manageable number. You can pick another number if you want.

But once you have picked your number of  things, you need to then create a story about each object.

Maybe you know these objects intimately and would like to describe how they came to be where they are and how important they are to you.

Maybe you can make up a completely off the wall story about them, ie: is there mob money hidden in those couch cushions? Are those chairs from outer space?

The length doesn’t matter, quality over quantity, it could turn into a short story, a postcard, story, or maybe its a poem, but go as long as you can, until the story is finished, one at a time.

Or, if you want to really challenge yourself and go for the bonus prize, create a story, off the wall or no, that involves all three objects.

Ok, there really isn’t a bonus prize, unless of course you count your pride in yourself for making a up a really great story on the spot. Yay!

Happy Writing!
